About Cutting Edge Picture Framing

I love living in Summerland which is nestled in the South Okanagan Valley, close to Penticton in British Columbia. After raising my family and leaving behind a part-time career in dental hygiene, I have opened Cutting Edge Picture Framing studios; returning to my passion for creativity and visual art. 

In the mid-90s, exposure to my father-in-law’s art gallery inspired me to pursue advanced mat cutting and framing skills at the Canadian Picture Framing School, in Langley, BC. During that time, revelling in this new challenge, I secured professional equipment and started framing artwork for friends and family.

Finding myself busy with “life”, I wasn’t able to expand into a full-time home-based business until 2023, when I then saw the need for customized picture framing services in the local market-place. 

I have been told by customers that my versatility, combined with positive energy, enables an innate ability to translate their needs into visually striking mat and framing designs for their artwork. I believe that my commitment to innovation, attention to detail, customer satisfaction, and fair business practices, sets me apart. 

A warm smile and an easy laugh, over what can often be an anxiety inducing project discussion, goes a long way in making my customers feel comfortable in their “artistic” decision-making.
